Your site is currently on a temporary domain at trydiscourse.com.

To start your subscription, your site must be on a domain name that you own and control.

  1. If you don't already own a domain, you can purchase one from a domain registry like Namecheap.
  2. To move from trydiscourse.com to your own domain, you'll need to access the DNS controls for your domain. It's usually accessible from the same place you purchased the domain name from.
  3. Choose a subdomain where your Discourse forums will be found. For example, if you own example.com then you could choose discourse.example.com for your community.
  4. Add a DNS CNAME record that points the address to this location:

    zavorio.hosted-by-discourse.com

    CNAME
    discourse.example.com
    zavorio.hosted-by-discourse.com
    Auto TTL

(Note that the site will not load by visiting zavorio.hosted-by-discourse.com in a browser.)

Once you've added the CNAME record, check the status of your change here.

If you need help, see this guide.

  5. After you've completed setting up your domain, use the "Change Domain Name" button on your admin dashboard to submit the new domain.

Shortly after, it will become your site's primary address.
